Weeping Cherry Tree

The weeping cherry tree standing near the center of Asuwa Shrine precinct has been loved by locals and is known as “Asuwa-san Shidare-zakura” since long ago. It is estimated to be 370 years old. The branches spread evenly in all directions. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom around early April, it creates a beautiful dome of pale pink.
