Yokokan is a garden created in the Edo period.
It once served as a villa of the Matsudairas, the former feudal family of the Fukui Domain.

It is exceptionally tranquil scenery created by the expansive garden centered around a large pond and by the sukiya-style (traditional tearoom style) structure that appears to be floating in the pond.
Best of all, visitors can leisurely look out onto the garden from the sitting room just as the feudal lords once did.
Please enjoy to your heart’s content the serene landscape for a unique and relaxing experience that is only experienced at Yokokan Garden.
